UNTA YANG SABAR: SATU METAFORA TENTANG PERSEKITARAN ORGANISASI (THE CLEVER CAMEL CROSSING THE ENDLESS DESERT FRONTIER: AN ORGANISATIONAL VIEW POINT)

The camel is called the ship of the desert, because of its ability to carry both men and heavy loads across sandy wastes. A strong camel can cover nearly 50 kilometres a day with up to 450 kilograms on its back. The flat feet ensure camel do not sink into the soft sand.

Arabian camel  has one hump for storing fat (bactrian have two). A camel's hump just like built-in cupboard, or like a knapsack filled with food when there is not enough to eat. Camel can go for as long as two weeks without eating.

Camel needs their humps because they live in deserts, where food and water are hard to find. A thirsty camel can drink ten buckets of water in just ten minutes. Camel can eat any vegetation because they have strong teeth, and when angry, they spit!

The two-humped bactrian camel can go without water for even 10 months, and amazingly can drink 100 litres (26 gallons) also in 10 minutes. This bactrian can survive longer when food and drink are scarce. They are really a desert dweller!
